Books: Of Witches: Celebrating the Goddess As a Solitary Pagan
By Janet Thompson
A very basic primer with an unusually philosphical outlook. While I found much of the writing immature and many of the assumptions about the Craft questionable, the focus of this book is something I can support: The Craft as a way of life.

Ms. Thompson's simple primer is not the best on the market, but it does present some interesting concepts. Environmental awareness, simplicity in magic and in life, and spiritual connections to the Earth are clearly of great importance to Ms. Thompson. This approch is not uncommon, but often glossed over among the "how-to" in many other books.

I would consider this book appropriate for someone very new to the Craft (1-2 years study) or for those who are merely curious.

You can purchase this book though this site at Amazon.com.
